Now that you have an idea for your new business start-up it is time to come up with some Business Name Ideas. Hopefully you understand who your potential customers are – for example are you targeting women or men, certain age groups, luxury or discount shoppers and etc.
With this information you should be able to narrow down the type of name to choose. This discussion is not about your legal entity name. The name you choose for your LLC (be sure to do an LLC name search) or Corporation is not as critical as the name you choose for your DBA (Doing Business As) or fictitious business name or trade name. You must register a business name that you will use as the name customers will see.
